Corporate responsibility

In its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the UN emphasizes the responsibility of private companies in the fight against climate change. We have therefore placed climate protection at the top of our sustainability strategy.

Since 2020, we have been measuring our greenhouse gas emissions and have drawn up a full climate report. Unlike many other companies, we do not limit the calculation to emissions resulting from energy consumption, but include all indirect emissions from the supply chain.

 30,6 %

This is the reduction in our total CO2 emissions forecast between now and 2030 on a like-for-like basis.

As the company’s carbon emissions are highly dependent on production volume, the level of total emissions is not an appropriate target figure. It has therefore been calculated in proportion to the number of rolls of wallpaper produced by the plant. Since 2020, our total CO2 emissions have been reduced by 42%. They will fall from ≈ 114,000 to ≈ 66,000 tons in 2023.

🍃 Our ambition is to go from 5.65 kg CO2 per euro roll in 2020 to 3.92 kg CO2 per euro roll in 2030.

Our target falls within the greenhouse gas reduction corridor recommended by the SBTI (Science Based Target Initiatives) in order to limit global warming to a maximum of 1.5 degrees.

What can we do to protect the climate? By using CO2-neutral hydroelectric power. In 1 year, this has already enabled us to reduce our carbon emissions by 3,000 tons.
